I am pregnant with identical twin boys and have heard that when they are first born you can mix them up. I was told a good way to tell them apart is by painting one of their toe nails..lol. I may just do that, I also heard it`s not good to dress them alike until you can tell them apart

I`m an identical twin and my mom would dress us differently as infants, but worst case scenario my sister had a mole where it didn`t see the light of day, that if my mom was having a hard time telling us apart for some reason, it would let her know who was who, as we got older we changed slightly, enough that people who knew us at all could tell us apart.. now we look quite a bit different, but still very similar, anyone who knows us has absolutely no problem telling us apart, but people who don`t know us tend to be amazed at how much we look a like.

I don`t have twims myself but I used to sit for identical twin 3 year olds and I could easily tell them apart.
