tto (1095.3 days ago) My 7 1/2 yr old is the same way. I just keep trying. Sometimes you can mix a little new food with the cereal and increase the ratio. But that won`t work with my guy. He`s just a picky eater. He won`t always be, I`m sure.
zookeeper (1096.2 days ago) My 2nd daughter only breastfed the first year; she wouldn`t eat or drink anything else. Don`t worry about the nutrients - breastmilk is all your little one needs.
angie2008 (1096.4 days ago) Your baby doesn`t `need` anytihng more than breast milk or formula for the first year. Eating now is practice for when they get older and the breast milk isn`t enough. I would keep trying but don`t be too worried especially if your baby is full from breast milk and growing well.
luvbeingamom (1096.4 days ago) my ped told me years ago that it can take a child tasting a food 20 or more times before they like it. Just keep trying. Good news is that solids before a year old are just practice and your LO`s main source of nutrition is breast milk (or formula).
JMendez (1096.4 days ago) Don`t be worried about her nutrition, your breast milk is the best! You shouldn`t be worried about trying the fruits, I had my daughter on fruits and the one or two veggies she would eat and she took to the rest of the veggies on her own time. Have you tried sweet potatoes? I know that`s a pretty tasty option. But really you have nothing to be concerned about, sounds like you`re doing a great job!
nmck (1096.4 days ago) I mix almost all of the veggies with applesauce. It is how he takes them and then I have no worries about his nutrient, especially since I know his formula has everything he needs.
MormonBaby (1096.4 days ago) My guy is 7 months and is the EXACT same way. I also breastfeed and have tried giving homemade baby food. Even when I super puree it he thinks its too chunky or something He only likes the cereals, doesn`t even like applesauce. I am going to give store bought food a try just to try get him interested. As long as you are breastfeeding and he is not hungry, then I wouldn`t worry about him not getting the nutrients he needs. There are plenty of moms who exclusivly breastfeed for the whole first year. good luck...sorry i`m not too helpful
