I found out the day before my due period. Took two tests that came out positive right away even before the control line apeared.

I was on cycle day 31, so just over 4 weeks pregnant, but I also underwent fertility treatments and was told by my doc exactly what day to test so I wouldn`t get a false positive from the hcg shot my hubby gave me to stimulate ovulation. I got a positive on my first test and took another to make sure - also positive. But because I had the hcg shot I had to get it confirmed with a blood test and then they had to make sure my hcg at least doubled within two days before they could say for certain that I was pregnant.

I was three months pregnant. Since I`ve always been underweight (5`4` and 100 lbs fully dressed and soaking wet) my period can be a bit fickle... plus I had no morning sickness at all! But I still feel like a moron every time we`re at the Dr.s office and it comes up that I don`t know the date of my last menstrual cycle (being an airhead has it`s drawbacks!)

I found out when I was 8 weeks pregnant. I took a pregnancy test when I was 6 weeks along and it came back negative....

With my first i was 13 weeks. I suffer from PCOS and only get a few periods a year, so missing a few months wasn`t unusual. We had been trying for 2 years and i was almost afraid to take a test when i started feeling `odd` so i waited until i could get into the doc. Also, i my DH and i were moving across the country when this was all happening and i had just started on metformin about 2 weeks before i became pregnant and i thought the medicine was making me feel `odd`. with my second, i knew what to look for and i knew at 3 weeks, but the test confirmed it after 5 weeks.

I was four weeks along when I found out. My period wasn`t even late but a day and I got really clear dark lines on the HPT. It was a cheap test too. Every other time my period was late and I got a negative, it turned out that I was just late and not pregnant.

I was 6 weeks. My period was 10 days late, but I blamed it on stress. Then I realized how tired I had been along with being late so I took a test.

  1. OMG, I posted on FB (in reponse to a suggestion made to me on From Our House To Yours) that I didn`t like a business because the items were very expensive and my friend got a bad deal there and the owner is threatening to sue me! Have you ever heard of such a thing? I actually paid a consultation fee and my lawyer told me that she was `absurd with possible mental health problems.` I am protected by the fisrt ammendment to express my honest opinions freely where I choose, but he said she can take it to court(because people can TRY to sue over anything) anyway and that it might cost me legal bills. We will both be out a lot of money because she couldn`t possibly win. Can you believe that? FML! First my records and now this! I hope my baby isn`t a bad luck baby. I see people not recommending or recommending businesses all the time on FB!
  2. Is SaraKelly still on here? I know she was a mod but I didn`t see her post in the previous Who Is A Mod poll...
  3. ANGRY!!!! My jenakers account is missing my ENTIRE journal from my high risk pregnancy and my letthisonestick account for my 7 month old is completely gone along with my journal. I AM SICK OVER IT!
  4. I`ve re-thought the moderating of the member-postings. How does this sound? Let`s change it to usage, rather than length of time as a member. Say your first 10 or 20 polls, questions and pictures need to be approved by a Mod or something like that. Someone posting the racist polls and adding the kiddie porn is unlikely to participate as a normal member. Once you are verified as a regular member you`re no longer monitored.
  5. How long did it take you to get pregnant after you got your IUD (Mirena) out?
  6. Twilight valentines for 7 year olds... appropriate or not? DD received a valentine with a very... sultry smoldery Edward on the front and I was just kind of surprised that anyone would buy those for 7 year olds? I know I`m on the conservative side in general on those kinds of things, but this really surprised me!
  7. My daughter is almost 5 months and 3 weeks ago my hair started falling out. I know it`s normal but how long did it last for you?
  8. With all the issues going on with the site maybe we need an updated list on Mods. Obviously Laura is the one to go to but if there is a concern and it needs immediate attention and a Mod is online it may be good to know who is who so you can reach out to them. Mods, can you please post here so we know who you are. (Esp since some profiles names had to be changed because of recent log on issues)
  9. Anyone wanna try http://parentspuzzlepieces.spruz.com/ a free community site I just made? Let me know if you want the password and would want to help add things to it!!
  10. I think with all the posting issues IAP needs to appoint someone to verify all pictures, polls, questions, etc that are posted by new members. Sure, it`ll probably make things slower, but something needs to be done! Many websites have this installed and IAP needs it as well. Members that have been on the site for a certain time can be exempt, but if you are a new member, posts should be monitored. I`m going to copy this suggestoin to Laura and if you agree you should too!! :)
