Baby-poll poll I`m 30 and I`ve never had the chickenpox. Should I get the chickenpox vaccine since I have a 1 year old now?

Check with your doctor to make sure you haven`t had the pox but didn`t know it. My mom and I swore we never had it - I don`t remember any rash, bumps or anything - we thought we had some special female genetic immunity. Then my doctor tested me before we started trying to conceive and wouldn`t you know it...I have the antibodies! So I did have it - just a super super mild case and never new it. WOOHOO!!!!

i wouldnt tell someone whether to get a vaccine or not, bc i know that they are controversial, but i will tell you that chickenpox is one of those diseases that is worse to get the older you are. you arent `old` at 30, but if you havent had it yet, you could get it later, and just like it would be dangerous to a young child, it would be dangerous for you also.
