I have never heard about breast milk in the ears. They have a hard time nursing when their ears hurt, when Daisy would get ear infections, we had to feed her almost sitting up. Their ears hurt worse when they are laying down.

I`ve heard that you can put breastmilk in the eyes to stop eye infections. I`ve never heard about putting it the ear, though it would probably work since it`s the same principle.

Ear infections can definately cause a lack of interest in nursing. It hurts the little guy to lay on his ears. Maybe play around with holding him in different positions. Goodluck!

I don`t know about the putting the breastmilk in the ear but I do know that yes the ear infections could totally cause the lack of interest in nursing. Sucking causes pressure and pain in the ears. My LO has a double ear infection right now too.
