haha i guess i did. Oops. I wish it was forbidden im not much into it anyway. But its totally not forbidden I also had stitches so my doctor was very adamant that i wait til i was 6 wks. As far as the menstrual cycle coming back my son is 3 months old and i still havent gotten mine back.[due to bf i think]

I`d ask for it at your 6 week check up. But be very careful until then because you can definitely still get pregnant, and you don`t know how long til you get your first period...I didn`t get my first period until 2 full months after I stopped breastfeeding.

Don`t wait till your first cycle you could get pregnant again and not know! I have a friend who was going to do this and then felt a baby kick.. she was 6 months pregnant! She thought she was just having trouble moving the baby weight :) It`s fine to start the mini pill straight away but you can wait 4-6 weeks post birth.. you wont be ovulating in that time.

I think you are supposed to wait till the sunday anfter AF starts for the first time not the bleeding you are having now and it will get you on track so no sex till then or use condoms!

You can get pregnant before you cycle comes back so I would say make sure you are on the pill as soon as you are ready to have sex. That`s how you hear of people having a baby 9 months after there first. Just ask your doc.

ProudMomma - Hehe you made sex sound forbidden then! And you can have sex but they advise against it! But 2wks pp was enough for me :-D

They say you cant start it without ur first cycle or at least ur 6wks pp. Wats the rush?

first off you dont need to go on it right away becasue your not aloud to have sex for the first 6 weeks. And if you are breast feeding there is a special pill they give you for breastfeeding mothers. but my doctor talked to me about bc at my 6 week check up

Yeah, I`d talk with the doctor. I think if you`re breastfeeding the circumstances may be different than if you`re formula feeding.
