daydays mom (1073.6 days ago) I asked people the same question and they kept giving me different answers. So i went to the doctor ans she told me there is no sure way of knowing the difference of different things unless you go to the doctor and they can look or do a test or something. Daisy has had 2 ear infections so far and the 1st one i had no clue just thought it was teething and the 2nd one i thought she had a sinus infection. so the only forsure was you are going to know what it is is if you talk to your doctor!!!!
RobinG (1074.2 days ago) An ear infection is an infection in the air but pain in the ear that is from teething is just as painful ~ just without an infection. When Hunter teeths I have to give him motrin to sleep since his ears hurt horribly ~
weeblette (1074.2 days ago) Behind the ear will be hot to the touch, sometimes bulging. Often there is a fever with infection but not always. If you are concerned it`s an ear infection get it looked at immediately.
bethk (1074.3 days ago) Pulls ear, keeps grabbing side of head, might shake head a lot. x
hunnybunnysmama (1074.5 days ago) my daughter pulled on her ear when teething... no way to know for sure without a dr. looking in the ear.
JMendez (1074.5 days ago) I agree with googie`s answer. when my daughter had an ear infection she was pulling on the ear but for her teeth she was chewing on stuff and drooling an awful lot.
googie32 (1074.5 days ago) usually the baby will have a fever with an ear infection and they will pull on the ear that is hurting..that`s what my kids would do..when they were teething they drooled like crazy and would bite everything and then cry. I hope that helps...I would go see the Doctor though just to be sure.
