Lookalike (1073.1 days ago) Formula can never match up to the nutrition of breast milk. I understand if you can`t breastfeed, but if you can, it is way better. If you`re not actually breastfeeding but pumping exclusively, to me, it`s the same thing, so long as baby is getting breast milk instead of formula.
daydays mom (1073.6 days ago) i hope i dont offend anybody. I am totally for breastfeeding and if you can do i would do it. my daughter wouldnt latch on to me so i had to bottle feed. i am happy now that i bottle feed cause i feel as if i have more freedom to go places. And people say how breastfeeding with keep your child from getting sick and stuff, thats not totally true either because my friend breastfeed her baby til he was 11 months old and hes been nothing but sick off and since then. and my daughter has had sinus infections and ear infections just like he has and shes on formula. so it just depends on your child and you!
bellajenna (1073.7 days ago) breast feed at first its so good for your body and it will establish your milk supply. I would really EBF for at least 4 months. but i find it way better just to EBF.
MaryJanowiecki (1073.7 days ago) Breatfeeding is a great bonding experience.
tto (1073.8 days ago) Do you mean bottle feed breast milk or formula- just from experience, my first son was only BF for 4 months and gets sick really easily compared to the second son who has been BF for 8 months and counting.
debra (1073.9 days ago) If you choose to bf, it`s the best, easiest and cheapest way to go. Pumping gets harder the older your baby gets as you pump only milk that you store and you store less as you increase or start solids.
your baby can retrieve more milk out of your breasts than you can pump- so while I could pump 5-8 0z per feed time in the beginning, by 7/8 months I could pump 1 oz if I was lucky. I had a baby that latched properly from the start (lots of thumb sucking in utero I guess!) and I knew what I was doing as i`ve taught bf in the past ( I have tips on my VIP page). At 15.5 months, he still nurses 2x a day and it`s the best time for cuddles that we get all day as he`s sooo busy otherwise. But if you have to go back to work early, it`s hard to get into bf and then have to switch- but even if you can do it for a few weeks, it`s completely worth it. d
jenl645 (1073.9 days ago) Breast milk is better for the baby but it was really hard on me. I only did it for 8 weeks because my baby prefered the bottle so I ended up pumping all the time and I completely damaged my nipples...they were always in so much pain that I couldn`t even put them in water stream in the shower. He loves his formula .
AubreyP (1073.9 days ago) Breastfeeding is healther for the baby and it is really easy once you get the hang of it. You don`t have to mess around with bottles and heating up formula. Breastmilk is always ready. No hastle to take with you when you are out. I loved breastfeeding my daughter. It was hard in the beginning but once I got it figured out and my daughter did too, it was great. It was really special and I breastfed her for 13 months. To me it seems special because you are giving your baby something no one else can.
