Baby-poll My son had his 9 month checkup today...and he hasn`t gained a pound nor grown in length in the past 3 months. He is 13 pounds. The doc said it might be a thyroid problem so he had blood drawn today and I will find out on Monday. Has anyone else had this problem, and if so what was the outcome?

sounds like something called failure to thrive; there are lots of different reasons for it; the outcome and treatment depends on the reason...it`s good your doc is investigating rather than take the `wait and see` approach

i hope all comes out fine with your LO. My little boy is 3 months and he weighs 16 lbs. Your LO must be a peanut

  4. My friend has just started taking fertility tablets which the DR said could increase her chances of having twins by 10%. Did this work for any of you and did you have twins?

OMG, I posted on FB (in reponse to a suggestion made to me on From Our House To Yours) that I didn`t like a business because the items were very expensive and my friend got a bad deal there and the owner is threatening to sue me! Have you ever heard of such a thing? I actually paid a consultation fee and my lawyer told me that she was `absurd with possible mental health problems.` I am protected by the fisrt ammendment to express my honest opinions freely where I choose, but he said she can take it to court(because people can TRY to sue over anything) anyway and that it might cost me legal bills. We will both be out a lot of money because she couldn`t possibly win. Can you believe that? FML! First my records and now this! I hope my baby isn`t a bad luck baby. I see people not recommending or recommending businesses all the time on FB!

  7. ANGRY!!!! My jenakers account is missing my ENTIRE journal from my high risk pregnancy and my letthisonestick account for my 7 month old is completely gone along with my journal. I AM SICK OVER IT!
  8. I`ve re-thought the moderating of the member-postings. How does this sound? Let`s change it to usage, rather than length of time as a member. Say your first 10 or 20 polls, questions and pictures need to be approved by a Mod or something like that. Someone posting the racist polls and adding the kiddie porn is unlikely to participate as a normal member. Once you are verified as a regular member you`re no longer monitored.

  10. Twilight valentines for 7 year olds... appropriate or not? DD received a valentine with a very... sultry smoldery Edward on the front and I was just kind of surprised that anyone would buy those for 7 year olds? I know I`m on the conservative side in general on those kinds of things, but this really surprised me!
