WELL..We purchased the Pooh walker yesterday and it DOES go on our carpet!! He is still a bit short for it (?) but after we removed the stair bumpers (we don`t have any stairs) he could move it around. There ARE toys on the tray,but they move to the side or you can even take them off.

My boys ALL loved walkers :) And they benefited very much from them ~ :) If you have only carpet dont get them, dont know any that work good on carpet but we did have it on carpet occassionally for them to just sit and hang without scooting around. The less bulky the better ~ it is harder for them to move the more bulky or stuff it has on it :) We loved the simple traditional ones and just placed toys and snacks on them ~ My boys all used them for a while :) I had a car one once and it was awful ~ if you are referring to the push walker where they stand behind it and push like ashopping cart any kind works great ~ we had various ones :)

I have never seen a walker that has really done anything. by the time they fit they can pretty much walk. and do some reading some study`s suggest it can delay walking.
