I told my husband `You can say her name now`. We hadn`t told anyone ahead of time. The doctor asked the name while I was pushing but there was no way I was going to tell anyone before she actually came out!

i said `oh my god, is she BLONDE??!!`......I have dark brown hair and her dad had black hair. sure enuf, she is blonde.

With my 1st I said `Are your sure he`s a boy?` I only had one U/S to determine gender and I was so worried about being wrong. With my 2nd I had a ton of U/S do we KNEW he was a boy so my first reaction was `Ahhh fuck!` Since as soon as I got him in my arms my doctor decided to reach in with both arms to get my placenta out since it wouldn`t come on it`s own and I had no epidural!

I don`t remember what I said.. I just remember busting out in tears when I heard his first gurgle when they pulled him out (c-section).

I had a c-section so I only saw my girl for like one second and then they took her out of the room and I had to stay in there while they were stitching me all up - I was pretty tired and kinda loopy - I said `hey, hey please don`t drop a junior mint in me.` If you don`t know what I am talking about it is from an episode of Seinfeld. I didn`t even watch that show very often!! All the nurses and my Doc were laughing, they must have seen the episode too. Anyway by the time I saw my baby I kinda felt like - Is this really my baby, WOW and then when I finally got to be alone with her I just was so amazed!!

After I said `oh my baby` when they layed her on my chest, I looked at my doc and said well that sucked! haha...i`m a very sarcastic person...it didn`t really suck
