A few years ago I lost a baby and also had to have a D&C. I was supposed to get antibiotics but the nurse forgot to give them to me andI forgot to ask. Anyways, my uterus did not heal right and I bled for about 3 months afterwards when it`s supposed to be like a week. I am also sorry for your loss. I lost my baby at 12 weeks and it was very hard to deal with. I cried all the time and started drinking a lot. Not the best way to handle it! So if you feel overwhelmed with any feelings, talk to someone :) Good luck with everything.

antibiotics are usually given to PREVENT any infection but they are not neccessary.

After my D&C I was given percocet but no antibiotics.

I had a D&C done at 11 weeks along and was not given any pain meds either. I am so sorry for your loss.

I had one at 7 weeks but they didn`t do a D&C and no meds either
