I got a very faint positive that showed up after about 10 min when I was 5 days before my period was due. Technically, that`s an invalid result, but it really was positive for me!

mine was positive 5 days before af was due. But I used one that literally said `pregnant` or `not pregnant` on it. takes the guess work out of it.

A positive is more accurate than a negative but the accuracy increases as you get closer and closer to a missed period.

I`m going to see my midwife this afternoon to find out for SURE what the hell is going on! HAHA! I`m sure she`ll do a vaginal check and from there I`m going to ask for a blood test. And I`m bringing one of my hpt`s with me to show her what I see... She`s going to think I`m insane, or that my batch of tests are bad or something. Don`t you always confuse pms with pregnancy symptoms after you`ve already had a baby??? I drive myself nuts...

just read what type of test you are using and I have used them before too and the positive line was always so light. If you are really anxious to know, I would go get a first response test (you can test 5-7 days before your missed period) and see what it tells ya! =)

as long as you are reading the results within the time frame you should be getting an accurate result, but if the faint line is showing up 5-10 mins after the test is taken then you probably are getting evap. lines.

I would say a positive is a positive. To get 2 false positives is pretty rare. Go ahead and wait and test again. I know I tested BILLIONS of times after I knew I was pregnant.

mine showed but with all my kids a week or more b4 my period. but i used the cheep-o dollar tree brand

I wouldn`t say a hpt would be accurate 7 days before your period is due, but since it depends on the amount of hcg iny our system I guess it just depends. If you are carrying multiples then youw ould have a higher level of hcg that could possibly show earlier. I don`t know, I would wait a few days and check again. Good luck! :)
