Amanda-is-Rebekahs-Mommy (1042.6 days ago) I had an epidural with my daughter and I loved it! I would also never have a home birth, hooray for anyone who does, but I am also way too worried about what could happen, after my daughter`s birth my uterus wouldn`t start contracting again and I bled out a lot, I had to be taken into the OR and they packed my uterus so that there was pressure against the walls of it to stop the bleeding, I then had to have a transfusion of 2 units, if I had been at home I probably would have bled to death. That`s enough to scare me straight into a hospital every time from here on out! They said it shouldn`t happen again, but why risk it? Plus, if you have a hospital birth, they get to clean up all the mess (and birth is a messy business), if you have a home birth you have to clean that all up after having the baby... no thanks, not for me! :) Not trying to offend anyone, that`s just my reasons why I`ll never have a home birth.
harimaudahan (1042.7 days ago) I agree with MS.mom, I worry about everything that could go wrong with home births, I had an unplanned c-section with my daughter because she was too big to fit through my pelvis. I had no idea before that day that I had a big baby. If we were trying a home birth I hate to think of what could happened. People gave birth all the time in the day unassisted yeah..but a lot of them died during child birth too. I`m not knocking home births by the way, I just know its not for me. And good luck to those women who are trying it. My next delivery will be c-section also.
jenakers (1042.8 days ago) What type of labor do you plan on having?.........A quick one!
MS.mom (1042.9 days ago) Ha! Too funny neverpreggers.
With my first I was like I am not going to have an epidural I am having this baby natural, no drugs! I did so all day. Nurse kept on saying why don`t you take the epidural???? I refused! After all day, I ended with a spinal block and c-section!!!! I was terrified of the epidural, but I was more terrified of the c-section and still had to have the needle in my back. I`m hoping for a v-bac this go around and I will proudly take the epidural! As for home births, I may put my foot in my mouth, but I speak my mind. Anyway...It sounds great. But that would totally freak me out. Labor is too risky not to be in the hospital for. So much could go wrong. In my case, with me having to have a section. There is no telling what would have happened if I were at home. I just think too much could go wrong, but hey they did it like all the time way back then.. I just would rather be safe than sorry that`s all. Not trying to offend anyone.. just my thoughts..
Lookalike (1042.9 days ago) I would have loved to have an unassisted homebirth just like the family cat, but NOOOOO... my husband is insanely uptight and insisted that we go to a doctor and give birth in a hospital. I may just not tell him I`m in labor...
busymommyof3 (1043.2 days ago) I had an epidural with all 3 and LOVED them!! =)
