missyv28 (pink) (1039.8 days ago) 16 months is not too early for a toddler bed. Don`t under estimate the child haha. My son went to a toddler bed at 18 months and loved it. He was climbing out of his crib by 16 months. He stayed peaceful in his bed.
StaceyL (1039.8 days ago) I`m with excitedmama. My son will be 20 months when our 2nd is born in a few weeks. From all the advice I`ve heard, wait as long as possible to transition your baby from a crib to a bed (i.e. when they start to climb out). I honestly can`t imagine my son staying peacefully in a toddler bed so that`s the approach I`m going to take. Baby 2 has a pack n play with bassinet in our room for now.
excitedmama (1039.9 days ago) We are going to wait for a while before trying the big boy bed. Gabe will be about 19 months when this baby arrives and it seems like too much adjustment at this point. We are just getting a second convertible crib so they will each have their own bed.
nmck (1040 days ago) My sister conceived her second when her son was 18 months old. She put him in a toddler bed about a month before the new baby, so he was about 25 or 26 months old by then, which seemed like the perfect age.
RobinG (1040 days ago) I would wait til baby arrives or if need be get a 2nd crib. 16 months IMO is to early :)
