Totally off topic question here: I recently read a comment made by the supermodel Gisele...who just got married to a famous quarterback, Tom Brady. When asked about HIS 1 year old son with Actress Bridget Mohynahan, the model said, `I feel that the baby is 100% mine. Just because I didn`t give birth to him doesn`t mean that he isn`t all mine.` I was completely taken aback by this comment and wonder what others` thoughts are on this. I know there are alot of step parents out there. (Other poll by mommyofxyxyxx, 1038 days ago)

california-mom (1037.8 days ago) I agree with twnklinbrwneyes...She worded it way off but I got the gist of it. I was a step mom and loved my step kids dearly and treated them the same as I would my own kids but I wouldnt say it like THAT. It does sound like creepy...
June1st2009 (1037.8 days ago) I think she is dumb. However, she probably meant to say something good and worded it wrong. She won`t get it until she has her own child. I have daughter who usually visits her father on the weekends. When she was about 8 years old her father`s wife took her to the salon to get long fake nails and put on make up, the next week she called my daughter on the phone and started to talk to her about the sweet sixteen she was planning for her without consulting me and asking what plans I had. I am usually a very mellow, easy going person, but when I heard that I blew up. I called my daughter`s father and told him that I did not appreciate that and that I am her mother and if the `want to be mom` wants to do certain things she should consult me first. I felt like I had to put a stop to it IMMIDEAETLY. The woman has 3 sons and always tells my daughter that she always wanted a girl (her problem not mine). I appreciate that she is trying to do things for my daughter, but there are boundaries that must be kept.
TwinklinBrwnEyes (1037.8 days ago) I agree I think she worded incorrectly. She loves the baby as if it was her own....nothing wrong with that, I know I would appreciate it!!!!!
ermsmom (1037.9 days ago) I`m a step-mother who actually raises the child and I would NEVER say this. I mean, how is the actual mother supposed to feel. She doesn`t even raise the child. What a moron.
Lou-Li-Ro (1037.9 days ago) what a feckin EEJIT!!! To say it very Irishly! She sounds like a right pillock. She hasn`t a clue what she`s on about. She's probably trying to make herself sound/ feel important
missyv28 (pink) (1037.9 days ago) I feel I have 2 moms so I wouldn`t say you can`t have 100% 1 mother. My mom raised me but we aren`t really close but my step mom picks up where my mom leaves off. I`m closer to my step mom and have more in common with her. I don`t love either of them less. I would say that what Gisele said and meant were 2 different things but I feel the child is very lucky to have 2 moms to love and take care of them when some kids have none...
Lookalike (1038 days ago) I guess it`s true, you can`t have her looks and a brain cell at the same time...
mommyofxyxyxx (1038 days ago) Maybe she just worded it badly...who knows but that is what she said, exactly. And for the record, we`re talking about a man who didn`t even know the proper name for his son. He wasn`t present at the birth or for days after. So I dunno. Maybe he`s just happy he`s got a babysitter now....cause that`s what she is. babysitter. Yeah...I`ve apparently got issues. haha

kottonkurlz (1038 days ago) Her new husband needs to make it clear to her who is the 100% mother.
mommyofxyxyxx (1038 days ago) Hehe..maybe it`s my pregnancy hormones or maybe I have some issues....I just think it DOES make a difference who births the child and who raises the child. That baby has ONE mother who is 100% his mother. So that leaves NO room for someone who just happened to marry the kids dad. Doesn`t make her the kids mother in ANY way.....Jeez
5against1 (1038 days ago) as a mom, i even got upset just reading this. lol. my kids have a step mom, and they would never think of her as my equal. im guessing(hoping) she was trying to say she will love and take care of him, when the child is with them, as if he was her own, but she just worded it HORRIBLY??
