wow, its a name tons of people have that name. I say do it. I have 2 brother n law`s named Brian. Its not lk you are naming ur baby after him, its just a name. I named my children after my sister and she was gonna do the same but had a boy so she let me name him and I named him aiden james, and my husbands dads name is james and i HATE him.

i asked him names he likes and he said `i actually like brian, but we arn`t naming the baby that... we cant` so we wont. i just wanted to see what everyone else thought of naming a baby with the same name as an ex... thats for the comment!!!

does he know you had an ex named Brian? I`d never let my man name our daughter (if we had one) after his ex! I think it`d be wierd for me, but tough as it may be, it`s really a decision you two need to make between the two of you. I`m sure in time that the name won`t mean anything but the name of your son if you decide to use it. :)
