tto (1031.2 days ago) If you are a SAHM you can make your own wipes. Cut a bounty select a size roll in half and pull out the tube. Put it in a plastic container (walmart has one just the right size). Mix 2 c hot water, 2 tbs baby oil and 2 tbs baby soap and pour over towels. Let them soak about 15 min. They work just fine but aren`t as big or thick as the store bought ones. They do save money though.
As for budgeting, I buy generic diapers and use a little more than a box a month for $15. Baby food can be expensive if you don`t make your own. About $40 a month (he`s almost 10 months). If you buy new clothes about a hundred every 3 months.
hotpotaaaaato (1031.5 days ago) Costco`s Kirkland brand diapers and wipes are awesome.
ibaheir2dathrone (1031.5 days ago) I just bought reusable wipes for a lot less then buying store disposables. Make your own solution and throw these in there (ziplock bag) your good to go. I started buying diapers at during my last 2 months of preg. (mostly 1`s). I bought the store generics. I find they work well. My biggest complaint is Luvs. Sarah pees a couple of times and she leaks.
Meela (1031.6 days ago) diapers are about 20 dollars every two weeks. That is saying you buy huggies, the big box. Then you can get wipes(once again.. the big box of them) for around 10 dollars and depending on how many you use... it could last all month. If you use store brand diapers.. it could be ALOT less.. AND.. NEVER buy diapers (if buying name brand) without a coupon. YOu can call the companies and have them send you coupons. Same thing for wipes! If you are low on money.. you can eliminate wipes all together, and use a warm wash cloth.. and wash them every day. I had to do this with my oldest as she was allergic to ALL diapers and was in cloth diapers. I just bought the huge pack of white wash clothes from wal mart and would use a fresh one with every change.. makes for more laundry.. but saves on the wipes expense. hope this helps.
angie2008 (1031.6 days ago) regular diapers about $20 a week and wipes i`m estimating $3 a week. If you use luvs or store brand diapers it will be less. Will need to buy food once baby gets old enough for solids. And always add a little cushion for things that are unexpected. Example, you forget the diaper bag after you get to the grocery store and your lo has a blow out poop so you need to buy a new outfit plus diapers and wipes.
MelissaJoanne (1031.6 days ago) Exclusive breastfeeding + cloth diapering after startup cost = zero per month (or $5 or so for wipes per month, if you use wipes rather than washclothes).
busymommyof3 (1031.6 days ago) for diapers and wipes. less than 75. But if you need formula probably more than 125. This is not including clothes and shoes needed as they get bigger. for the 1st 6 months you will probably get alot of clothes anyhow.
