aidensmommy1 (1029.6 days ago) I was induced ended up with a 12 hr labor which was not to bad but the pitocin kicked my butt and I did get an epi..I did suffer a really bad 4th degree tear..but other then that it was fine...
happyforest (1029.6 days ago) i was induced, and i dont have a `natural` labor to compare it to, but it sucked sooooo bad!!! the pitocin kicked my ass. i had a 14 hour labor even though i was 3 cm and 80% effaced when they started my induction. i pushed him almost all the way out and then they had to help him the rest of the way out with the vacuum bc he wasnt getting enough oxygen and they needed to get him out fast. turns out he was smashing his cord against my vagina wall bc he was 9 lb 5 oz and there wasnt enough room!!
luvbeingamom (1029.6 days ago) I have had 2 inductions. The first one was awful. It was 29+ hours of labor, i started with no natural progress. I had GD and PUPPS. The baby had his cord around his neck, it was just a terrible, terrifying labor that almost ended in c-section, but i was able to deliver vaginally but i did tear. WIth my second from start to finish it was less than 9 hours. It was easy, the pain was very manageable (eventually got an epi with both). I didn`t tear, didn`t have any complications (other than the org GD). I used the same drugs for both labors. The only difference was that with the second, i had started to make natural progress.
california-mom (1029.6 days ago) 1st was natural onset of labor and was the easiest-Completely natural. My 2nd was induced with cervidil only and though it was a lot more intense, it was manageable and ok too. The 3rd was induced with pitocin (and Im sure a ton of women are getting tired or rereading this story lol) and the most excruciating awful unbelievable out of control pain Ive ever felt in the world. Still natural but insanely painful. I dont recommend women who want to labor and deliver natural to have pitocin. I was warned by everyone but didnt listen. It sucked and made the experience no bueno.
sadielady (1029.7 days ago) i water broke at 36 weeks and i was in labor for 22 hours with my first. with my second, i had gestational diabetes and was contracting since 34 weeks and dilated 2 cms since 37 weeks. so i was induced on my due date. it was amazing! my baby girl was born 3 hours after they gave me the pitocin. her heart rate dropped at the very end so they tried to use the suction but it slipped off, and she was out on the next push :)
i had heard alot of horror stories so i was really scared but it was actually a better experience than when i went naturally. good luck!
jinx-marcell (1029.7 days ago) I had a NST done and his heart decelerated (dropped and didn`t go back soon enough) so then I had a US to check on him then another NST. I was induced with Cervadil and it brought on labor fast and hard (I had back labor) 8 hours later, Devon was born. The DR pulled him out via vacuum extraction because his heart was still doing funny stuff, when they got him out they discoverd the cord had gotten wrapped around just his chest, constricting it. If not for that, and if I`d been able to take my time, I`m fairly certain I would not have torn in three places even with the Induction...
PrOuDaRmYwIfE (1029.7 days ago) I was induced because high blood pressure and a large baby, ended up having a c-section because when the doctor broke my water he felt her toosh (she was breech).
monkeymamma (1029.7 days ago) I was induced due to blood pressure and rapid weight gain. Ended up having a c-section because when my water broke, the baby moved around and got the cord wrapped around his neck so they couldn`t pick him up on the monitors. I don`t feel that was because of being induced though.
LKLmama (1029.7 days ago) I had vaginal birth but it was far from `normal` I would not allow them to give me inducing drugs again unless it was a real life or death thing..
Tara83 (1029.7 days ago) I had an induction with my daughter (who was my first baby). My induction was my first day into my 38th week and I was not dilated or effaced so I assume that is why my labor took so long (From start to finish my induction was 36 hours). I had no complications, I enjoyed my labor and delivery ( I had a vaginal delivery) and will be induced this time again and I am not even worried about it ;o)
Bvartanian88 (1029.7 days ago) I was in labor for 10 hours, which isn`t bad, and everything was fine. I was close to getting a c section though because she was too big for me! I had to get cut twice because I wasn`t tearing on my own. But she came out fine and the delivery was great.
bellajenna (1029.8 days ago) I have 3 kids and the first was induced and the last 2 were natural and drug free, hers was the worst. If I had a choice I would never do it. After 36 hours she was born fine.
