rosye13 (1026.1 days ago) You can get some pretty insane viruses and diseases from a used breast pump. I wouldn`t take the chance unless it`s from someone that you know very, very well.
Carolinagirls (1026.7 days ago) I would only use one from someone I knew. But I`m sure it`s ok even though in the manual it says to buy new....but I bet that`s so they can make more money! haha!
My5Babies:) (1026.8 days ago) My friend gave me her pump that she only used a few times...it was an electric medela one...so she saved me like 400$! I bought all new parts, though.
ermsmom (1026.8 days ago) I have a used one from someone I know and it`s great but I`d be cautious of using one from a stranger. Definitely buy new valves and tubes and things either way.
DeklansMommy (1027 days ago) Used is fine, just buy all new parts (the horns, rubber tubing, valves, etc.) The only thing that should be used is the motor. On the other hand, I got mine used from my sister-in-law, so I sterilized the horns and valves and only got new tubing because I know that she`s healthy. If it were from a stranger, though, I`d go all new except the motor.
Lou-Li-Ro (1027 days ago) Used or new -- just sterilise before use!
tto (1027 days ago) I have a used Medela and it has worked great- no problem. Just sterilize or buy new horns and tubes. I pump about three times a day for the last nine months. It`s been a great work horse. You can rent the best ones from the hospital but that gets pricey.
missyv28 (pink) (1027 days ago) I have a used hospital grade Medala and it works wonders! I didn`t spend a dime on it except replacement parts. It really saved us alot...
KelliA (1027.1 days ago) Don`t use a used breast pump unless it is a hospital grade. Although you can get new parts the tubes and valves are not sealed and the milk can be contaminated. Look at the Baby Bargains Book for more info. I know alot of people buy used and will tell you that it is fine but it really is not.
