Juniper`s poll Show results | Hide results

Other-poll poll If you have 2 or more kids of the same sex ... was your 3rd, 4th... child the same sex or different sex as the first ones? Also, did you try anything specific in order to conceive a certain gender?I`d love to hear what you tried and if it worked or not...Thanks!

Hi i have 3 children... a boy and two girls... I dont think we did any different, mind you our 1st was a suprise and with our 2nd and 3rd was planned so we had lots of sex.. Ive heard, well i think it goes this way... the male sperm lasts longer but there is more of the female sperm (so maybe the lots of sex helped) who knows probally just comes down to a 50/50 chance.. GOODLUCK

I have a beautiful little girl and am now having a boy due this July. Both times my Husband was on top and both times we were TTC and having sex every other day. So nothing stands out as being different in my case ;o)

The FIRST thing to look at is your husbands relatives. If he has only brothers or mostly brothers and his grandfather had mostly boys, then chances are, you are most likely going to have a boy. male to female sperm ratio is dependent on the male side of the family so look at that first. The other thing to know is that male sperm swim faster and die quicker. Female sperm swim slower and last longer. So timing plays a big part in it. Know when you ovulate by using a kit. As SOON as you see the `indicator` that you will ovulate in the next 24-48 hours, have your woopie...IF You want a girl. Wait a day or so IF you want to have a boy. It`s not fool proof but it could sway the odds. I have two boys and wanted a girl badly...I did that and it worked. Not sure if it was luck or not. good luck to you

I have 2 boys and a girl and im pregnant with another boy. The only thing i can say might have influenced their gender was the time of conception. With all the boys this one included we were trying to concieve and had sex when i KNEW i was ovulating in my cycle. With my daughter we had sex thinking it was safe well before i ovulated by about 4 or 5 days. They say female sperm live longer than male sperm so thats what i guess probably happened :)

I have one of each and he was on top both times..I don`t think it had much to do with position!

I only have one little one but its a boy. A couple of my friends and I talked about 1 has a boy and the other 2 have girls. Myself and the other one with a boy were on bottom. And the 2 with girls were on the top. HEHE ... we dont know if it had anything to do with it but it sure seems that way to me. Im going to try it out with my next one :)

I had 2 girls first and then my son. My husband thinks we had girls first b/c I was always on top, so when we tried for our son he was mostly on top. It think its 50/50 no matter what. I wanted a boy really bad first and 2nd. So I think that why i had my son last. As long as they were healthy. It all worked out, my older 2 are very maternal and lots of help!!!

We have 4 girls....I am sure we did many different positions for each one, so i cannot pin point it to position

I`m on my third baby boy!! I have a 6 year old a 3 year old and this one is due in august :)

We waited until the day I ovulated to BD so that we could conceive our boy, it worked, but then again, it`s 50/50. If you`re going to chart your cycles, you should seriously consider getting an ovulation microscope. Look it up on the internet: there are two brands Fertile Focus and Maybe Mom.

Hi, I have two beautiful girls and one handsome little boy! The girls ages are 8 and almost 4 and my son is going to be 5 months. I just had to try 1 one more time for my handsome little son and it worked! I dont know if those guidelines really work but I followed everything online on how to make a baby boy! Maybe it was just luck, what ever it was the third time was a charm for me! Lindy

  1. OMG, I posted on FB (in reponse to a suggestion made to me on From Our House To Yours) that I didn`t like a business because the items were very expensive and my friend got a bad deal there and the owner is threatening to sue me! Have you ever heard of such a thing? I actually paid a consultation fee and my lawyer told me that she was `absurd with possible mental health problems.` I am protected by the fisrt ammendment to express my honest opinions freely where I choose, but he said she can take it to court(because people can TRY to sue over anything) anyway and that it might cost me legal bills. We will both be out a lot of money because she couldn`t possibly win. Can you believe that? FML! First my records and now this! I hope my baby isn`t a bad luck baby. I see people not recommending or recommending businesses all the time on FB!
  2. Is SaraKelly still on here? I know she was a mod but I didn`t see her post in the previous Who Is A Mod poll...
  3. ANGRY!!!! My jenakers account is missing my ENTIRE journal from my high risk pregnancy and my letthisonestick account for my 7 month old is completely gone along with my journal. I AM SICK OVER IT!
  4. I`ve re-thought the moderating of the member-postings. How does this sound? Let`s change it to usage, rather than length of time as a member. Say your first 10 or 20 polls, questions and pictures need to be approved by a Mod or something like that. Someone posting the racist polls and adding the kiddie porn is unlikely to participate as a normal member. Once you are verified as a regular member you`re no longer monitored.
  5. How long did it take you to get pregnant after you got your IUD (Mirena) out?
  6. Twilight valentines for 7 year olds... appropriate or not? DD received a valentine with a very... sultry smoldery Edward on the front and I was just kind of surprised that anyone would buy those for 7 year olds? I know I`m on the conservative side in general on those kinds of things, but this really surprised me!
  7. My daughter is almost 5 months and 3 weeks ago my hair started falling out. I know it`s normal but how long did it last for you?
  8. With all the issues going on with the site maybe we need an updated list on Mods. Obviously Laura is the one to go to but if there is a concern and it needs immediate attention and a Mod is online it may be good to know who is who so you can reach out to them. Mods, can you please post here so we know who you are. (Esp since some profiles names had to be changed because of recent log on issues)
  9. Anyone wanna try http://parentspuzzlepieces.spruz.com/ a free community site I just made? Let me know if you want the password and would want to help add things to it!!
  10. I think with all the posting issues IAP needs to appoint someone to verify all pictures, polls, questions, etc that are posted by new members. Sure, it`ll probably make things slower, but something needs to be done! Many websites have this installed and IAP needs it as well. Members that have been on the site for a certain time can be exempt, but if you are a new member, posts should be monitored. I`m going to copy this suggestoin to Laura and if you agree you should too!! :)
