butterblocksmom (1019.4 days ago) We didn`t switch until about 3 months. It worked well for us but he still didn`t start sleeping continuously through the night until about 5 months. At 7.5 weeks, they just don`t have the skills to soothe themselves back to sleep when they wake up. We did let him cry it out but only after he was 5 months old.
carleesmom (1019.5 days ago) I don`t mean I want her to sleep all night without waking up. I guess I could have worded that better. I know she will wake up after a couple of hours. She normally will sleep from about 10-2 and I feed her. But then I can not get her to go back to sleep after that. That`s all I was asking..
BabyBsmomma (Joni) (1019.6 days ago) i wish i had advice for you...my daughter is almost 11 months and is STILL not consistent with sleeping through the night....good luck:)
nmck (1019.6 days ago) That is early to expect her to sleep more than 4-6 hours at a stretch. Keep your nights all business when you get up with her. Diaper, feeding, lay her back down awake, unless she is crying. No talking, no singing, no bouncing or rocking. No stimulation at night!
Stay@HomeZOOkeepa (1019.7 days ago) I agree...my first I rocked to bed or layed asleep in bed still has trouble falling asleep on her own and she`s 3. Then my almost one year old takes naps and goes to sleep totlaly on his own, I let him cry it out right from 4 weeks and he stopped crying on day two of that. BUT every baby is different my new one would cry all night if I just laid him down so try some music, vibration in crib or dim light with mobile to relax him. My one year old still uses his music box in crib to fall asleep. Don`t turn on lights though in the middle of the night. This might be mean but I only change my new one at night when he has a poopy diaper too otherwise it wakes him up.
hotpotaaaaato (1019.7 days ago) just stick with it! Personally, I would lay her down after burping, and when she cries comfort her IN her crib. (patting her tummy, carressing her head etc) but don`t pick her up. It WILL be hard for a few days, but trust me, in the long run it will be worth it! The earlier you sleep train them in their own bed the better. Trust me. My oldest I would pick up and rock/hold/sway etc until she would fall to sleep and then put her in her crib. We had problems with her sleeping until she was 2 1/2! Where as I followed this advice with my 7 month old and she`s been putting herself to sleep since like 6 weeks old. It`s soooo awesome, and soooo worth it. Good luck hun, it is hard.
