heathert (201.6 days ago) It is driving me crazy also, I go to a Chiropractor and do some yoga, heating pad some. It had not gone away completely from my last baby (10 months old) and now it is worse.
nicnmicsmom (202.3 days ago) If your pain is horrible, try to find a good Chiropractor or physical therapist. I recommend a PT because I am one but you can usually get in to see a Chiropractor without a doc`s order. Otherwise, try `flossing` the nerve. It`s not comfy to do but will relieve the pain. You can do it two ways....1) sit in a hard backed kitchen chair, slump forward and extend your sore side knee out (like a leg extension/kick) with your toe pulled back toward your head. with the leg straight out there, keep pulling your toe back toward your head over and over...effectively flossing that nerve and giving it more room to move. The other maneuver is to stand with one foot up on the comode with the other on the floor....both feet pointed in the same direction/parallel and lean forward between your legs as far as you can go. Just `hang` down there for a minute or two. Then drop your leg down and walk around. You may have to do this once or twice
sweet-ladi (202.5 days ago) Warm baths are fine just as long as they are not too hot and your not in them for a long period of time. And they do help a lot. I have scoliosis and pregnancy is a bear on my sciatic nerves. I have trouble even when I am not pregnant so you can only imagine with the added weight of pregnancy I can`t walk most of the time. I use heating pads and warm baths and just try to deal with it because I cant afford to see a chiropractor
christinarose (202.5 days ago) Thanks for everyone`s advice! I`m up for trying anything to get rid of this pain! :)
angie2008 (202.5 days ago) lay on that side, it eases the pain. i had it terribly so i couldn`t even walk.
wisfarmgirl (202.5 days ago) PS: hot baths are not allowed when you`re pregnant!!! You can get overheated and harm the baby. That`s why they tell you to stay out of hot tubs!
wisfarmgirl (202.5 days ago) I just went to the chiropractor last Friday, and in a few minutes they got me in alignment. I stood up and had no more pain. I was so happy I almost cried. Another reason (besides to relieve pain) to go and get in alignment is so the baby is comfortable too. My baby was breech and now she turned back thankfully.
pc (202.5 days ago) Lay on your back and bring up and bend one leg (like a normal situp position). Take the leg on the side that your but/hips hurt and bend that knee so that the ankle is resting on the front of the knee that is bent. YOur other knee should be facing the side. Take your hand and grasp the chin area of the leg that is bent in the situp postion and pull it towards you. You should feel a pull in your but/hip muscle. This works well for me and I only hope I have explained it to where it makes sense.
scaredmommy (202.6 days ago) Warm baths are good. Baths don`t always work tough I have had to have my husband help me out when I was done because the pain was still unbearable. I have even been stuck on the floor because of the pain and he had to come home from work to help me up. I hope you find something that works for you!
canadababy (202.6 days ago) Find a qualified PreNatal massuese. I went to one for the 2nd half of my pregnancy and she was amazing :) I also tried a regular massuese (they all receive some prenatal training) but he was no comparison to the woman who took the extra course!
Also warm baths, heating pad and Tylenol.
mommy2four (202.6 days ago) Find a good chiropractor.
Mommy2Chloe (202.6 days ago) I used a heating pad but I think that only worked while I was sitting on it!

My sister is 21 weeks pregnant and has this. She found that a hot bath works best for her. But you can`t just hop in the tub all day! She also said that massage makes it more bearable.
