nmck (201.5 days ago) My vertical incision split before it fully healed. My husband had to pack the wound twice a day until it healed...about 6 weeks PP. Then I had it cut open again 15 weeks PP during a separate surgery. It actually looks fine now... almost a year later. It is just a thinish purple line.
~amy~ (201.6 days ago) Robin- she had a hysterectomy also thats why it was the vertical incision. Her first two were bikini line c-sections.
scaredmommy (201.6 days ago) Placenta accreta is usually accompanied by placenta previa. It is when your placenta deeply attaches to the uterus so much so that it causes haemorrhaging when the placenta detaches from the uterus. The placenta can grow all the way through the uterus and into other organs, in my case the doctors believe it has grown into my bladder. If you have placenta accreta and doctors know it you are guaranteed a c-section. My doctors believe the safest way to prevent uncontrollable haemorrhaging is to do a hysterectomy.
AubreyP (201.6 days ago) what is placenta accreta? I have an anterior placenta. Is it similar?
RobinG (201.6 days ago) Thats interesting, I had my first section 13.5 years ago and it was bikini line and not vertical (())
~amy~ (201.7 days ago) My MIL had a verticle incision. She healed pretty quickly but does have quite the scar. This was 14 years ago though.. I`m sure the methods that they do them these days are totally different!
