Lookalike (1016 days ago) Since I`m a vegetarian, I would just feed the baby what I eat with less salt and pepper. I really don`t see how this is any different than a regular diet, I just avoid meat and eat everything else. You don`t need that much protein, contrary to popular atkins belief.
MILITARY~MOMMY (1016.3 days ago) Peanut butter (Iknow they say to wait, but I gave it to my daughter at 8 months, there is no history of food allergies in my family), tofu, soy milk, wheat, oats, rice, eggs, milk, cheese, yogurt. Most foods contain at least some protein and these are some of the best for vegetarians.
LKLmama (1016.3 days ago) tofu makes my daughter pee.. A LOT!
LKLmama (1016.3 days ago) I would look into baby led weaning. You baby can eat the same foods you do!
adistenandbaby2 (1016.3 days ago) Bean and I`ve seen lots of tofu recipes
MelissaJoanne (1016.3 days ago) I`m in process of raising a vegetarian baby. She`s younger than yours though, so I don`t have been-there-done-that type advice. :-) I have and recommend the book New Vegetarian Baby for incredibly detailed information about the nutrition of various food sources, and what babies need at various ages. For recipes, I love The Vegetarian Mother`s Cookbook. I have no idea what different stage #s of foods are (is that something on jarred food? Or does that have to to with type of food, or consistency?) . We`re doing baby-led-weaning, which is very cool so far. I`d love to hear how raising a veggie baby goes for you!
