I have blue shield and they cover all of my medical expences (I have a $15 co-pay for visits no matter what they do). I had an ultrasound done at a private 3d/4d place and it was 10mins and only cost me $50 and I got a dvd and a cd of pics. I think they are way over charging you, do you have any insurance?

My insurance covers it as well, and I am also a high risk pregnancy for pre-term labor. I`ve had 2 so far, and already have another appt for june 1st

my insurance covered everything I never payed anything. I wouldnt get ultrasounds if they cost that much!

My hospital billed my insurance company between $200 and $400 depending on how in depth it was. When I got them in the doctor`s office, they did not charge me at all.

That`s a lot! I`m going to stop complaining about my $103 ultrasound. My doctor said we didn`t have to have anymore if we didn`t need or want them.

Well, I have Tricare (cuz I`m active Army) and it didn`t really cost anything out of pocket(cuz I only get 1 free). But I have since gotten two elective US`s that I did have to pay out of pocket and only paid @250 for both. You may have gotten jipped!

My insurance seems to cover them as long as the doctor says that they are necessary. And I know that if you go to a 3d/4d place they`re like $125 at most. So I don`t know, maybe you should call and check on that.

My insurance I think covers 80% of it but I never thought that it would be that much. I didnt expect to pay 200 out of pocket. O well.

  1. OMG, I posted on FB (in reponse to a suggestion made to me on From Our House To Yours) that I didn`t like a business because the items were very expensive and my friend got a bad deal there and the owner is threatening to sue me! Have you ever heard of such a thing? I actually paid a consultation fee and my lawyer told me that she was `absurd with possible mental health problems.` I am protected by the fisrt ammendment to express my honest opinions freely where I choose, but he said she can take it to court(because people can TRY to sue over anything) anyway and that it might cost me legal bills. We will both be out a lot of money because she couldn`t possibly win. Can you believe that? FML! First my records and now this! I hope my baby isn`t a bad luck baby. I see people not recommending or recommending businesses all the time on FB!
  2. Is SaraKelly still on here? I know she was a mod but I didn`t see her post in the previous Who Is A Mod poll...
  3. ANGRY!!!! My jenakers account is missing my ENTIRE journal from my high risk pregnancy and my letthisonestick account for my 7 month old is completely gone along with my journal. I AM SICK OVER IT!
  4. I`ve re-thought the moderating of the member-postings. How does this sound? Let`s change it to usage, rather than length of time as a member. Say your first 10 or 20 polls, questions and pictures need to be approved by a Mod or something like that. Someone posting the racist polls and adding the kiddie porn is unlikely to participate as a normal member. Once you are verified as a regular member you`re no longer monitored.
  5. How long did it take you to get pregnant after you got your IUD (Mirena) out?
  6. Twilight valentines for 7 year olds... appropriate or not? DD received a valentine with a very... sultry smoldery Edward on the front and I was just kind of surprised that anyone would buy those for 7 year olds? I know I`m on the conservative side in general on those kinds of things, but this really surprised me!
  7. My daughter is almost 5 months and 3 weeks ago my hair started falling out. I know it`s normal but how long did it last for you?
  8. With all the issues going on with the site maybe we need an updated list on Mods. Obviously Laura is the one to go to but if there is a concern and it needs immediate attention and a Mod is online it may be good to know who is who so you can reach out to them. Mods, can you please post here so we know who you are. (Esp since some profiles names had to be changed because of recent log on issues)
  9. Anyone wanna try http://parentspuzzlepieces.spruz.com/ a free community site I just made? Let me know if you want the password and would want to help add things to it!!
  10. I think with all the posting issues IAP needs to appoint someone to verify all pictures, polls, questions, etc that are posted by new members. Sure, it`ll probably make things slower, but something needs to be done! Many websites have this installed and IAP needs it as well. Members that have been on the site for a certain time can be exempt, but if you are a new member, posts should be monitored. I`m going to copy this suggestoin to Laura and if you agree you should too!! :)
