xajk326x (1010.9 days ago) I am actually in the exact same position as you. At my 12 week ultrasound the baby was measuring 13 weeks and two days; however, I was on a fertility monitor and know the exact day I conceived and I know for a fact I was at 12 weeks and two days at the time of my ultrasound. I must be having a big baby:)Anyway...I refused to let them change my due date because I know my original due date is the accurate day and I don`t want to get to excited when I hit my 40 weeks and actually have to go over it...lol.
angie2008 (1012.8 days ago) doesn`t really matter as the baby will come when he/she wants and it`s not really that much of a difference. Wait until your 20 week u/s and see what that shows.
hotpotaaaaato (1013.4 days ago) I totally agree with Butterblocksmom! With my second my due date was Oct 7th, but was measuring due Oct 1st.... kept the 7th for the very reason butterblocksmom said, and went into natural labor Oct.11th. I would have been PISSED OFF if I thought my due date was the 1st!
RobinG (1013.6 days ago) Since your doc and the hospital will always go by what is in your chart and the doc usually will not change the date unless it is more then two weeks off you need to go by what the docs due date it ~ most is LMP. And only 4% of babies are born on actual due date so seeing that it is only a few days I`d go by what is in your chart. If by chance you are overdue and close to 42 weeks then you can look into the variation.
butterblocksmom (1013.6 days ago) I say stick with the 13w3d...reason being, as you get closer and closer to having your baby, if you deliver early you will be happy. If you deliver late, each minute is agony waiting and waiting and waiting!!!!! Mentally you`ll be prepared to deliver later if you tell yourself you are only 13w3d!!!
rosye13 (1013.6 days ago) Did your doctor change your due date in your charts? I would definitely ask him about that. Because if you`re measuring ahead at every ultrasound then common sense says maybe you`re a week further along. And it`s good for them to know because you don`t ever want to go over 42 weeks pregnant. It`s not good for the baby so you want to have a pretty accurate guess at your due date in case you do go late so that they know when to induce.
.punky. (1013.6 days ago) The ultrasound is MUCH more accurate at that stage than your LMP. Because not everyone ovulates on day 14 you could be off by a week one way or the other by using LMP. I would say the ultrasound is spot on and you just ovulated early. Congrats!!
