KelliA (1009.9 days ago) The ear thermometeres are very inaccurate. Being off a degree or two is a big deal when you are talking about 103 or 105 fever.
brendalee (1010.2 days ago) pacifier thermometer. i looove it, no strugles to get a temp. taken.
angie2008 (1010.3 days ago) oh, and the rectal one isn`t hard at all to do and doesn`t cause the baby discomfort. just use a little proteriom jelly to lube it a tiny bit and lay baby on stomach and it about 30seconds it`s over.
angie2008 (1010.3 days ago) rectal is the most accurate. i use the one they gave us at the hospital. you can use it in mouth or underarm but not the mouth after using rectal. our lo`s are small and i want to most accurate that i can get.
AubreyP (1010.3 days ago) I have the forhead one and it is so great. The rectal is best when they are little but it comes to a point where they are too big and they kick their legs and scream. I went to an ear one and it was so hard to get an accurate reading, but the forhead/temporal one is awesome/accurate/easy...I love it!!
daydays mom (1010.4 days ago) rectal is the most accurate reading...
JMendez (1010.4 days ago) I initially bought a forehead one and it`s awful! Def recommend the rectal =)
RJean (1010.4 days ago) I`ve heard that rectal thermometers are the best, but I think that it would be quicker and easier to measure the ear. I don`t want to sacrifice reliability for ease of use, so what does everyone else think/use?
Khloes Mommy (1010.4 days ago) we have an ear (we bought) and an underarm (hospital gave us), we have used both and like both. We usually use the underarm one when we want to double check the temp as baby does not like her arm held down at all!
