thebigtomato (1009.1 days ago) My best friend`s little girl completely was turning down formula by 10 months. She got permission to start whole milk since her baby was letting her know she didn`t want it anymore.
MS.mom (1009.1 days ago) Yes it`s normal, I breastfeed. I pumped at work so I noticed a decline in the milk at this time. He is eating more foods and needing less milk if you are feeding him baby food now. They also start becoming more in tune to their surroundings. I have heard if someone wanted to quit breastfeeding that time would be a good time to do it because they start becoming fascinated with the world around them more and less interested in the breast and probably the bottle. I continued breastfeeding until a year old though. And one my son hit a year old the pediatrician said since my child was eating good he needed to get most nutrients from food and to serve milk with his meals and maybe with his snacks. So I think it is completely normal, although some babies just love their milk and not all babies are like this.
wisfarmgirl (1009.1 days ago) I breastfed, so I never knew exactly how much my son was getting, but is it possible that your daughter just got passed a growth spurt and her appetite is not settling down and she doesn`t need as much? Also if you`re supplimenting her diet with cereal or stage 1 baby foods, then she wouldn`t need as much milk.
hunnybunnysmama (1009.6 days ago) yeah if she`s eating more finger/baby food that might have something to do with it. also, she may have stopped growing at such a rapid pace and just simply isn`t as hungry. she may just slow down for a week or two but go right back to where she was during her next growth spurt.
daydays mom (1009.6 days ago) i think what it is shes more interested in real food now and is not wanting to drink as much. daisy likes more clear liquids like juice. she drinks her milk but not as much as she use to.
