My sone when a new born had what looked like a hernia. It started growing shortly after the cord stump (sorry forget the actual term) fell off. I went to the doctor and he said this growth was common and put some sort of iodine liquid on it. He said it might take a few visits, but all it took was one and it went away.

I have a hernia right above my belly button. Never did any harm to me. I was worried about it when I went to deliver my daughter, but it wasn`t a problem:o)

Hi my son is 16 weeks old now and he has an hernia just above his groin on his left. He has an appointment when he is close to 6 months old so that he can have surgery to correct it. They told me if he gets in any pain to contact them immediatly and they will get it done sooner.

My son did, its fairly common I believe and most correct themselves. It doesnt cause any pain I`ve been told and it never seemed to bother Hunter ~ (())
