in my opinon... i`d wait, unless u want it that badly.. i had first 4d at 20 weeks and i love it but baby doesn`t have alot of fat yet so it looked like a skeleton with skin.... very thin. i have another one @ 7 months and am very excited.

The diference is HUGE between a before 20wk scan and a 30wk scan! My 30wk was proper baby but one before that was a baby but coz they have no fat or anythin on them yet looked bit like an alien! but they look more baby like than a blob hehe. Why not give him one of ur normal scan pictures then suprise him in 2mnths with a proper 4D picture! he`d probably love that to see how his little one is growing x

I had a scan at 24 weeks and it was such a difference to the 18 week one.. i`d wait as long as you can :) by 24 weeks she looked like a human baby but tiny.. soo cute :)

I LOVED MINE AT 18 WEEKS!!! he looked so cute and perfect, definatly not blob-like. get it done, you will like it

I had mine done at 22 weeks, if I had to pay for it I would have waited until atleast 27 weeks, I could make out his face, but it still wasn`t very clear! If I was you I would wait and send him a pic later

I`ve already commented below.. I had mine done at 15 weeks and yes, I did find out the sex then.. and you can clearly see a boy`s piece that early if the baby is cooperating. Good luck!

You could always send it to him later, right? Then you could wait until 20 weeks when you will have a better chance of seeing the sex. :)

Go for it!! I had 4D done with baby #1 at 13 weeks....there were some shots where he (and yes, it looked like a little man that early!) look at bit alien-like as they don`t start putting on much fat until 17/18 weeks. But it is gorgeous, it certainly does NOT look like a blob, it is an amazing little human. If you are getting it done around.16/17 weeks it will be a miniature baby!!! It`s awesome!!! I had other 4Ds done at 18 weeks and at 28 weeks. I liked the 18 week ones the best!!!

I wanted to get one early and I called the place and they wouldn`t do it until after 20 weeks, even though I was paying! I was so mad. But I know other women who got to do it early and I would deff jump at the chance if I were you!

I had mine done at 15 weeks.. and he was the cutest little blob ever!! =)... you`d be amazed how human they look at that age. I would do it if I were you. I did cause my husband was deployed.

It defo won`t be just a `blob` at that stage. Look at the week-by-week in the pregnancy section and check out that week!

It will look like a tiny baby...you may be able to see the sex on that one :)
