Trying not to think about it. Deal with it when I have to.
Been there, done that, not a big deal.
I'm reading and preparing all I can to make it easier or at least more (mentally) comfortable.
Pain, blood, lives on the line…I’m really scared! WAAA!

We`re hiring a doula, which makes us feel very prepared and confident. On my page, I have a short blog on doulas with a link to an article if you want to read about them. Good luck!

Definitely expect the unexpected! I agree! My labor with my daughter was great, the delivery had some complications though, I developed a fever and 2 hours into pushing my daughter`s heartbeat was starting to rise with the contractions, up to around 200bpm and the doc was worried and wanted to get her out, he said we`d either do a c-section or he was going to use forceps to help get her out faster.. I was scared of both options but more scared of the c-section so he used the forceps (did a really good job too! not a mark on her sweet little head!). After the delivery my uterus was tired and wouldn`t contract anymore so I was bleeding uncontrollably, I ended up being taken into the OR and being knocked out and packed so they could slow the bleeding to a normal amount. I had a blood transfusion and was on iron supplements for months after the birth. It was not at all how I had planned for it to go but it turned out alright, my daughter is a happy healthy 1 year old and we`re expecting baby #2, so obviously it wasn`t too traumatic if we`re willing to go through it all again so soon! :) It is not so bad and really the memory of it fades faster than you can imagine. Don`t worry about it too much, it`s only 1 day of your life, you have the rest of your life to worry about your little angel!!

This would be my third and im scared. I wasnt for the first two because the labors were unexpected. They were premature. I went in for a check up and a couple hours later they were out. I had no time to think about it. But now im just in panic even tho its gonna be a long time away. Hopefully I wont hit the 40 week mark and be expecting it everyday. Ughh. who knows.

Expect the unexpected. Every single delivery is different and if you `prepare` yourself for how you THINK it`s going to be, you`ll probably be stressed out. What you should be thinking is....`I`ll take it as it comes`. You may or may not have `control` over things but try to just go with it....It will be a much better experience that way.

  1. Has anyone lose weight doing zumba?
  2. Thanks to my twin`s ability to trek down here, my records are straightened out! I will be having my first appointment on February 29th. I will be 10 weeks-ish. Around here that is about when they want to see you. When did you get your first appointment?

  4. I`m interesed in getting an innotab for my kids. Are the extra downloads pricey? How is the product as a whole?
  5. Thought they were fixing the problem with the profiles? Mine is now starting to disappear and most of my friends profiles are gone. Is it getting fixed or what because its more than a joke at the moment. Maybe its the ads causing the problems because its the only thing that seems to stay when the profiles disappear.
  6. If you had a `favourable` cervix (started to dilate and soft) did a membrane sweep work for you?
  7. Should I buy my sister a Belly Bandit for her shower? She said that is what she wanted when I asked. I just have a hard time spending that much money on some thing she might niot like. Especially because it was me who put the dumb :) idea in her head!! I bought and used one for three out of my four and loved it...but is it for everyone? Or should I throw down the money to something more practical?
  8. Are your children exposed to two hours or less of TV per day? (This includes when your shows are on and they are awake and around at the same time in the same room)

  9. Just finished making a birthday cake for the first time from our baby girl for her daddys bday tomorrow :o)
  10. Extension of last Valentine question..I should clarify that we are having V-day dinner tomorrow alone but still just the fact that he bought our gifts at the same time at the same place bugs the s-it out of me. He knows I like plants and I`m pretty sure he went to a nice nursey and got me one but the fact is he told me he got his mom a small little plant. OMG I fee like I total b-tch but I feel like telling him I know what he probably got me and I do not want anything that you are giving your mom!! But then he wopuld know I snooped and saw where he went on our checking account.
