I was placed on full bedrest from 6wks to 10 wks, and now i`m on partial bedrest until the end of the pregnancy (i can only work 3 days a week). I started bleeding slightly at 6 weeks, so the doctor wanted to take extra precaution and placed me on bedrest...I think it really helped. I`m the CEO of a company, so I think he was worried about my stress level.

I was put on full bed rest at 30 weeks because I had already been to the hospital twice in the prior two weeks having contractions 5 to 10 minutes apart. Both times they were able to stop it and I was not progressing. Well, I went to the doc at 30 weeks for my nst (I had them twice a week because I had obstetric cholestasis) and was contracting every 4 to 5 minutes very regularly. The doc checked me and I had gone from no dilation and no effacement to 3cm dilated and 90% effaced in three days! So I had to go into L&D and they did an IV of mag for two days to get the contractions to stop. They finally did stop and the doc sent me home on full bed rest. I still had to go in twice a week for nst`s and once more at 33 weeks I had to go to L&D as an outpatient for turbutilene shots to get contractions to stop. After that, I began doing better on the nst`s. They had gotten my liver enzymes under control from the cholestasis and that seemed to help. I still was contracting at least once every 10 to 15 minutes on every nst up until the end of my pregnancy. The doc told me at 35 weeks that I could relax a little on the bed rest because my baby would be okay if he were born then. He said that if I went into labor at that point they wouldn`t try to stop it. Honestly, I was worried but I was happy to hear that because I was so tired of doing the preterm routine of in and out of the hospital. Anyway, turns out that I went into labor naturally on the night before my scheduled induction on the day I turned 37 weeks! My little man is a happy and healthy boy and turns a year old tomorrow! :)

The doctor took me off of work at 35 weeks because of the swelling and stress of work. I`m a behavior interventionist at school.

I was put on bedrest in the hospital at 34 weeks for pre-eclampsia. I was in the hospital for 2 weeks hanging out...the nurses were wonderful! Then I had a healthy baby girl via c-section.

They did an ultrasound to find out that my amniotic fluid levels where low, my baby is has IUGR inuterine growth restriction and i had high blood pressure im going to end up being off work for more than 3 months i rested for about 2 weeks and drank about 5-6 bottles of water a day plus other drinks and i was alright after that i ve been taking an easy ever since then!

I was told not to work, but not put on bedrest. I`m a teacher and being on my feet all day was making me swell and making my blood pressure go up. I was also dialated too much, too soon :)

The last time i was on bedrest because i was dialated too soon so it was necessary to be on bedrest. This time Im on limited activity until further notice. I have a bicornuate uterus. So if i start dialating again im screwed.
