canadababy (996.4 days ago) They`re fine :) The piece that was recalled was a matress clip that would break *only* if installed improperly. I have one and I have the replacement clips, no big deal.
onesharpefamily (996.6 days ago) I didnt have a Storkcraft crib but I just wanted to comment. My husband and I bought a used crib from a couple who had only used it 3 or 4 times for their grandkids. We got a really good deal and it looked brand new (it was one of those 3 in 1 convertible cribs). Well at about 30 wks or so we realized the crib we had bought used from that couple was recalled due to the mattress/side bar clips. Even though we didn`t purchase the crib brand new we still we able to sign up for the replacement parts and it was a really easy fix. We had it up and good before my daughter was even born. I am sure if you buy a crib from a retail store the cribs will be fine. Usually when something is recalled places like Walmart have two options: 1) put up a safety recall notice if its not a major recall issue or 2) pull the product from the shelf if its a major safety recall issue.
courtenay (996.6 days ago) its just the bracketts that needed to be replaced and it was a precautionary recall there has actually been no problems because of the recall and the brackets are easy to change
