I would totally do it if the money isn`t an issue. I love photography and I`m sure he/she would do an amazing job and capture all the moments that friends and family may not. I say go for it if you can. I`m doing it for my little girls 1st b-day

Maybe it`s just me but I think it would be a waste. To me the shower is not such a big deal that I would not have even considered paying someone to take pictures.

Considering you have a baby on the way which is much more expensive then you imagine it seems like a complete waste of money to me; especially since guests can do it for you for free. $100 is about a months worth of diapers OR formula. What I did was I handed my camera to a friend and made her in charge of taking pictures.

i liek the idea of friends and family because although the pics arent always perfect they will seem real and natural....good luck either way! oh not to mention you can put the $ towards something you might really need... ;)
