jessicar (994.5 days ago) MINI MEAT LOAVES
1/2 cup ketchup
2 tablespoons packed brown sugar
1 lb lean (at least 80%) ground beef
1/2 lb ground pork
1/2 cup Original Bisquick® mix
1/4 teaspoon pepper
1 small onion, finely chopped (1/4 cup)
1 egg
Total Time: 35 min
1. Heat oven to 450°F. In small bowl, stir ketchup and brown sugar until mixed; reserve 1/4 cup for topping. In large bowl, stir remaining ingredients and remaining ketchup mixture until well mixed.
2. Spray 13x9-inch pan with cooking spray. Place meat mixture in pan; pat into 12x4-inch rectangle. Cut lengthwise down center and then crosswise into sixths to form 12 loaves. Separate loaves, using spatula, so no edges are touching. Brush loaves with reserved 1/4 cup ketchup mixture.
3. Bake 18 to 20 minutes or until loaves are no longer pink in center and meat thermometer inserted in center of loaves reads 160°F.

xanthe (994.5 days ago) aprilraine, its ok to eat if you let all the fat drain away from it before you add it to spagetti sauce or something. my hubby has a freezer full of elk meat that i hate, so i cook tofu for myself when he wants that!
canadababy (994.6 days ago) I get most of my recipies from Kraftfoods.com, I love their site :) http://www.kraftfoods.com/kf/search/SearchResults.aspx?cm_re=1-_-1-_-NewSearch&searchtext=ground+beef&u2=ground+beef&scope=all&start=1&rsort=
Lou-Li-Ro (994.6 days ago) PS I said `chopped courgette` in that recipe, but I think in America you call it `zucchini` is that right?
Lou-Li-Ro (994.6 days ago) Minced beef is it? What about spaghetti bolognese? I fry up the meat in a little olive oil at a high heat till it`s browned, throw in two chopped onions and about 4-5 cloves of garlic chopped, fry up for 2 mins. Then add a chopped courgette, a grated carrot, fry up for another four minutes. Season with salt and pepper. Add LOTS of oregano (3 tbsps or more, and other herbs if you like), and fry for a further minute. Then add two cans of chopped tomatoes, one can of tomato pureé, and simmer for 15 mins. Serve with pasta and grated cheddar or parmesan on top.
aprilraine (994.6 days ago) I am trying to eat healthier, but my SO brought home a bunch of ground beef the other day because it was on sale, so now I have a bunch in my freezer and don`t know what to do with it!
california-mom (994.7 days ago) I only use lean ground turkey but I suppose you can use any recipe with beef instead. A spaghetti casserole with spaghetti sauce, cheese, tomatoes and bell peppers with fun noodles, sprinkle with Parmesan and bake =)
Mix ground beef with a can of cream of mushroom or cream of chicken or both and use as a gravy over steamed veggies (or rice).
Lookalike (994.7 days ago) Easy Meatloaf?
1lb of gbeef, small onion chopped, small bell pepper or other veggie you like chopped, two eggs, one cup of bread crumbs, two cups of spaghetti/tomato sauce, pepper and salt to taste, or any other seasoning you like. Combine everything except one cup of the tomato sauce and mold into loaf. Bake for half an hour at 350F, top with second cup of sauce and bak for another half hour.
