I am so jeoulous of all of you that your husbands participate in family time. My husband is usually more worried about what `he` wants or has to do on `his` days off. My children and I are actually leaving on Wednesday to go to Michigan for 6 weeks to see family. Now all the sudden my husband is taking this coming weekend off to go fishing and do all these things with his friends. He hasn`t had a weekend day off since April and that was only a Sunday, he had to take it off because we were driving out of state for an appointment for our daughter. So I am sad he has chosen to take time off after we are already gone :(

I ask because I am trying to make a point to my BF. Today, we went swimming and he refused to come because he `didn`t feel like it.` This often happens. I don`t think this is okay. I feel that if he wants to have a family then he needs to behave as if he is part of the family and that means sucking it up and doing activities with his daughter that don`t entail running errands or playing in the living room.
