hannahe (988.5 days ago) my son did the same thing. he was in a toddler bed at 18 mos and he stillcried till he puked every single night till he was 2.5 years old! i have NO idea why he was like this since he was born. but one day he just decided it wasnt worth it i guess cuz he hasnt done it since...my daughter on the other hand has never even had to cry herself to sleep, she just lays in her bed and sleeps...its weird. soon2be3 (988.7 days ago) Our daughter was like this...she figured out how to crawl out of her crib at about 16 months old. We turned her crib into a toddler bed and she would come out non-stop. We use to have to sit outside her door. During the night, she would always end up crawling into our bed. By the time she was about 2 1/2, we just left a blankie and pillow on our floor, next to our bed and she would come in and settle herself down in the middle of the night. This lasted until she was about 4. She now can fall asleep just about anywhere, anytime and sleeps like a rock. You know what though...I miss cuddling her in the middle of the night and will remember that sweet little body snuggled up against me during the middle of the night. Probably one of my most favorite mommy memories...and she was bed hog too! EditDelete
IvysMomma (988.8 days ago) My daughter moved to a big girl bed when she was about 13-14 months, she actually sleeps in her own bed now thank god! She HATED her crib and was ALWAYS in bed with us by morning. EditDelete
missyv28 (pink) (988.9 days ago) Mine would scream and cry and then finally learned to climb out at 16 months. We co-slept after that until we could buy him a toddler bed and once we got the toddler bed he was fine. Sometimes he likes us to lay in his room with him till he falls asleep and sometimes we co-sleep. The strange thing is that he is 2 now and still sleeps in a crib when he is at grandmas house. That`s where they lay him for his naps during the day and when he stays the night he sleeps in it just fine eventhough he is big enough to climb out...I don`t know what`s up with that. Actually I think it`s because they have a TV in there and he will watch cartoons to relax...grandmas!! EditDelete
sweet-ladi (988.9 days ago) My daughter went into a toddler bed when whe was 13 months old and my son was 14 months old. They did a lot better. Now my daughter has to have her stuffed doggy and my son has to have his boppy pillow still and he is 3 years old. I try all options before co-sleeping. :-) EditDelete
RobinG (989 days ago) ((())) I my first was like that ~ we ended co sleeping with him instead. Thankfully Hunter falls asleep on his own but I know having his security blanket and a cup of milk to drink to fall asleep to are what helps. I would find something to give him that he can soothe with to fall asleep to. Some need to be rocked to sleep as hard as it is. Takes time to do it but it takes less time to rock to sleep then go through the crying throwing up etc etc. And since he has already thrown up sadly he will remember it so it will be need help to break the fear he now has. (hugs) find somthing to help him feel safe and secure, a blanket, fav toy etc. I ended up laying with my first because he was so hard. EditDelete
