rosye13 (173.5 days ago) After the cord stump falls off. And then only use water every other time. Too much soap could dry out that soft baby skin.
bethk (173.7 days ago) We had a nurse on the hospital ward who goes round and gives ur baby their first wash so its not in a bath exactly but they use the baby bath! And then we gave her her first proper bath at 10days old when her belly stump fell off x
MommyOf3But4ToBe (173.7 days ago) Actually you can give your baby a tub bath right away now. They say that the baby is not in the tub for long amounts of time, so its fine to fully bath them in the tub. Although when my older kids were babies, you were supposed to wait... but not anymore...
Mumbo (173.7 days ago) The hospital cleaned him up when he was born but not a proper bath, but I was bathing him the day after he was born... I just made sure the belly button was very dry afterwards... I didn`t know you`re supposed to wait til the cord falls off - peeewww!
daydays mom (174 days ago) depends on what type of bath your talking bout! Sponge bath right away but like putting her down in water, i had to wait til her cord fell off...bout 2weekish
onesharpefamily (174 days ago) I actually gave my daughter a bath before her cord fell off and kept it well taken care of. Her`s fell off within the first week so I guess it didn`t hurt it.
LailasMommy (174 days ago) you can as soon as his/her cord falls off!!!
emi (174 days ago) Well the water birth kinda took care of that :)
