thebigtomato (987.5 days ago) I went to college for restaurant management and I managed restaurants for a time before I moved on in my career and I would say from that perspective, any owner/manager that is worth anything should want to hear from their guests and know if something is going terribly wrong. So YES, I`ve called owners, asked to speak to managers, and even called the health department before, but I also make a point to call owners and managers when I have a particularly GREAT experience too.
5against1 (987.9 days ago) ive never contacted the owner, but will ALWAYS see a manager if i have a problem. if im spending my money sumwhere, i expect decent service...and on the flip side, i will tell a manager if ive had great service. which is hard to come by now-a-days!
happyforest (987.9 days ago) we didnt contact the owner, but we did ask for the manager when it was time to pay to tell her WE ARE *NOT* PAYING and she said she would give us a discount but we had to pay some, so we just turned around and walked out! we got there and no one else was there, we waited 45 min for our food while EVERYONE else who had gotten there since us was getting theirs. then we finally asked the 90 yr old waitress (who ovbiously had dementia probs or something) about our order and she said it had `got lost` and they would put it in right away. well they finally brought it and it was wrong. we were so mad!! it made us late to pick up our son too. and it was at Denny`s soooo shouldnt be too hard of a job for them! made me so mad
