I have not heard of surgery for this but I used to get them fairly frequently. I don`t know how old your daughter is and I don`t mean to insult but does she know to wipe from front to back? There was a poll on here awhile ago and I was surprised by how many women didn`t know why wiping form front to back is important for women. UTis are so painful I hope you find a resolution soon.

Before I got pregnant I had them all of the time. I was put on a daily low dose antibiotic.. they would have only considered surgery for me if the tubes coming down from my kidneys were kinked. Make sure your daughter (or whoever) gets a dye test done were they view the kidneys through x-ray before considering surgery.
