california-mom (981.5 days ago) I keep trying to get a kid with a lovey but none of them like anything enough lol
juels101 (981.7 days ago) We gave our oldest child a teddy bear around 4mo old, and she`s sucked her thumb with him ever since. She`s going to be three next month, has an overbite and freaks out without him, and we`ll have to take him away soon. I do know this doesent happen for everyone, she just started sucking it on her own, and only sucks it with the teddy. Our second has a soother because of our firs`s thumb sucking, so we can just take that away later. I do regret it, but at the same time I`m sure there are comfort items you can give that don`t end up with this problem
sharafly (981.7 days ago) My daughter is 7 and STILL sleeps with two blankets she`s had since birth. There are a few stuffed animals she rotates around and sleeps with, but the two blankets are a must. I don`t regret it, because she doesn`t take them out of her bed. It makes her happy, and doesn`t bother me :)
armymom (981.7 days ago) no regrets cause look how freakin cute he is with his blanky and froggy =D
MamaTex (981.7 days ago) My Son loves his blankets. If he gets upset (which is rare) as soon as he has his blanket to cuddle, he immediately calms down.
butterblocksmom (981.8 days ago) I don`t regret it but I do fear the day that we forget it behind when going on a trip! I was super paranoid when JJ was under 6 months of him suffocating, so I had nothing in his crib...but then I strated to feel bad and put this fuzzy little sheep dog hat in there from Gymboree when he was about 4months old. So, no big deal, whatever, I didn`t even think he noticed it but then by 10 months of age, `fuzzy` went EVERYWHERE JJ did. He is 15 months old now and it is his Linus blanket. I ended up going on ebay to track down three more over the last few months. One stays at daycare for nap time, and the other three are always floating SOMEWHERE around the house. I end up leaving 2 in his crib at nap time and bed time but the little bugger tosses them out of his crib, then stands there staring down at them, out of his reach and just repeating `oh ohhhhhh, oh ohhhhhhh`. Yes, Oh Ohhhhhh, you dropped it, you monkey! And he will NOT go to sleep with out it. And then I go in there and he says `hi! Hi!` and points to it. It is so cute but a ploy to stay awake longer as well! He rubs it over his face and it brings him tremendous joy and comfort. I don`t regret it, but the day will come when `fuzzy` is no more and then I think I`ll be royally screwed!
harimaudahan (981.8 days ago) I always gave Sarah something to sleep with but she never got attached to any one thing. She is two and half now and constantly rotates which stuffed animal to sleep with each night.
RobinG (981.8 days ago) I regret NOT giving one to my first ~ when I discovered the amazing benefits of a security blanket with my 2nd I used it imediately with my 3rd and it is the best thing ever. I know had I thought to use one with my first things would have been SO much easier.
