daydays mom (981.3 days ago) my daughter loves to eat, but shed totally rather have her milk (shes on lactose free milk), but i try not to fix her bottle while i feed her food because if she sees it she wants it and wants to drink it before she finishes her food! i only give her 4oz @ a time so shes really not getting much @ one time! just enough to knock the edge off i guess! .punky. (981.5 days ago) My almost 14 month old is like this. I have her on toddler formula because she doesn`t eat well and also because she has to be on soy, and soy milk alone does not have enough fat in it. Her dietician said not to worry at all, that she is gaining (albeit slowly) and healthy. She picks at food and maybe eats a couple bites at meal time and wants her bottle for her meal. EditDelete
nmck (981.5 days ago) Kyla and Maddie, thanks for your comments! My son drinks formula still because since he was a preemie he is still small. I do not want to force him to eat, and I do not want to `fatten him up` or teach him to eat more than he wants. We are going to have a consult with a nutritionist, but we will wait and see what her advice is before we decide if we should follow it or not. Butter... he cut his second molar within the last week, so I am wondering if his eating may pick up again when that is fully through. AND he had a virus last week with a sore throat, and now a cough! kylaleigh (981.5 days ago) both my boys went through a no eating phase.. with my oldest I thought something was wrong! all he wanted was juice! I had him looked at by a doc and everything... he was just fine. With my youngest he only wants milk! for about 3 months that`s how he got his calories.. now he`s eating like a horse! EditDelete
Maddie n Christians Mommy (981.5 days ago) my 2 yr old daughter is like that...she will drink water, juice, milk..anything 24/7..she HAS to have her sippy with her at all times and it has to be full. she pees so much because of it...drives me crazy but if i dont fill it up for her when its empty..she screams bloody murder..talk about terrible twos. and when it comes to food, she eats like a bird!! she picks at everything..and sometimes she turns it away all together..i was told by her nurse that she will eat/drink when she wants, and what she wants... we cant really force them. as long as they are getting enough to satsfy themselves, and are healthy..thats all that matters EditDelete
butterblocksmom (981.5 days ago) Is he teething or feeling poorly right now? JJ is and as a result is drinking a ton of milk but not eating much...not even the stuff he loves! EditDelete
