It`ll save a lot of prep work to celebrate them together, and they`ll both get gifts so they won`t be jealous!

I say go for it...My sister and I were born on the same day but were 9 years apart...It gives us kind of a special bond....We both like it.

i always celebrate my son and daughters birthday together. Later they probably wont want to but right now they have no choice.lol..

One of my best friends shares a b-day with her older sister, and has always hated it. Her sister is a little overbearing and my friend can never get what SHE wants b/c she doesn`t even have her birthday to herself. I would let them each have their own special day but the days will be close enough that you can have combined parties when it is convenient... and when they get older and want their friends for parties you can have them seperate.

I share a birthday with my younger sister. I have always loved having something special to share with her. I also had my daughter on my Birthday, so its an extra special day now. None of the births were planned to be that way, its just how it turned out. I say go for it!

I think it is pretty cool. You would be surprised at what siblings take pride in. My husband`s b day is 1 week away from his brothers. My birthday is 1 week away from my sister`s. All 4 of us like it that way and are proud to tell people. It gives them a story to tell. I was surprised also that you did not have the choice of a simple Yes. There is nothing wrong with it and I think it is sweet. If one of the children want a day of their own, give it to them. Haven`t you noticed that when people find out that you are having a baby they want it born on the same day as their birthday? People like it.

I would not make them on the same day! Although that`s a good birthday to have, I wanted it for my dd but that was 38 weeks & I had to wait till 39... Anyway off the subject... I think they should have their own special day, what if you have this one on Jan 1st? Only a day apart but both good birthdays to have, they can share a party, but they also get their own day. Just a thought... :)

I definalty think you should make it a couple of days apart so that they can share a party but have their own birthday.

If I could choose I wouldnt do it on the same day. I would let them have a special day that they dont have to share.

Yes why not. My sis was born 2 years and one day after me, and we always shared a birthday party as it was easier and cheaper for my parents to get it all over with on one day, and it was good. And my twins will always have to share a b-day so what the heck!

RobinG (982.7 days ago)
A child wants their own special day, not to share it unless htey are a twin, Def dont do it unles natural does it on its own (()) My neice was born the same day as Stephen and the first two years we did combo parties but we stopped it because we wanted the spot light on my son one day and on her the other day.

Yes no matter what =) Its cute. My grandpa & I always had bday parties together. My daughter was born the day after my husband so theyll always celebrate together =)

amberzon (982.7 days ago)
Yeah, I forgot the yes, no matter what...It`s already a holiday, Olivia was born on December 31st and that is my due date for the new baby. So already a big party day.

mrsmom (982.7 days ago)
Hey, I was going to say yes no matter what, but that isn`t an answer? I have twins and they share--we were worried about that but we have discussed ways to make it special for both of them. I think it would be worse if the birthday was shared with a major holiday--which is the problem I am facing with Christmas. Yikes. I say it will be fine no matter what. And actually, if it is one of each it would be even easier to make it `their own` in a way. No same theme or cake or gifts, get what I mean?

daydays mom (982.7 days ago)
birthdays are supose to be special. for 1 person and if you have to share it with somebody it takes all the fun and specialiness away from it. i think that it should be a few days apart from each other. i think it would be worse having a sister or brother share MY birthday

RJean (982.7 days ago)
My mother and brother share a birthday and we always did small combo family birthdays and then let my brother have a party with friends. It allowed our family to celebrate together, but still allowed my brother to celebrate separately from my mother. If you love the idea of your children sharing a birthday I see nothing wrong with it (I would have chosen a `yes no matter what`). If you have doubts or concerns talk it over with you SO or a close friend and go from there. :)

some things cant be helped but if you get to choose give them different days you can always throw a combo party but let them each have a special day!

  5. OMG, I posted on FB (in reponse to a suggestion made to me on From Our House To Yours) that I didn`t like a business because the items were very expensive and my friend got a bad deal there and the owner is threatening to sue me! Have you ever heard of such a thing? I actually paid a consultation fee and my lawyer told me that she was `absurd with possible mental health problems.` I am protected by the fisrt ammendment to express my honest opinions freely where I choose, but he said she can take it to court(because people can TRY to sue over anything) anyway and that it might cost me legal bills. We will both be out a lot of money because she couldn`t possibly win. Can you believe that? FML! First my records and now this! I hope my baby isn`t a bad luck baby. I see people not recommending or recommending businesses all the time on FB!

  8. I`ve re-thought the moderating of the member-postings. How does this sound? Let`s change it to usage, rather than length of time as a member. Say your first 10 or 20 polls, questions and pictures need to be approved by a Mod or something like that. Someone posting the racist polls and adding the kiddie porn is unlikely to participate as a normal member. Once you are verified as a regular member you`re no longer monitored.

  10. Twilight valentines for 7 year olds... appropriate or not? DD received a valentine with a very... sultry smoldery Edward on the front and I was just kind of surprised that anyone would buy those for 7 year olds? I know I`m on the conservative side in general on those kinds of things, but this really surprised me!
