i waited til nearer 6 months before i gave my son any solids, as advised by my health advisor, he is 22 months now and he will only eat honey porridge or weetabix for breakfast, he refuses anything else

I tried once a week starting at about 4 months, but didn`t start doing it on a daily basis until around 5 months. I always fed from a spoon although his doc recommended I put a little in his bottles to thicken it to help with acid reflux. I just bought the AR formula, which is basically regular formula with the cereal already mixed in.

I started solids at 6 months but pretty much skipped the cereal until she was about 9 or 10 months. We started with apples and squash instead.

I started solids at 7 months. From my research and my docs recommendation i wouldn`t have started before 6 months, but he was ill for a couple weeks so i waited until 7 months.
