My SO got his hours cut to 20 a week in mid february. It has been tough, but we have been hanging in there. For the last two months, I have been working 50-60 hours a week (night shifts), in addition to taking 2 challenging online classes. He still does soooo little around the house. He only works 5 hour days, while I work 12 hour days. I am so tired that I could cry. I cam home from work this morning and blew a gasket because I left the house clean and came home and there were toys and dirty dishes. the laundy I asked him to fold on Thursday was still in the dryer. How do I tactfully tell him to stop being so lazy before I smother him in his sleep? FYI I am 25 weeks preggers and a little emotional as it is. (Other poll by sleepymomma, 977 days ago)

sleepymomma (975.4 days ago) I even tried striking. Then Daisy found a dime somewhere in the filth that had become our house, and shoved the dime up her nose.
Lou-Li-Ro (976.2 days ago) Reading the other comments here, I think I WILL go on strike. See how it works
Lou-Li-Ro (976.2 days ago) Men are UNREAL. They just don`t see it. Our problem is different -- my man has NO work, and I am sahm, and I do EVERYTHING -- he does nothing unless nagged and nagged, and I am also wondering what the hell to do with him.
sleepymomma (976.2 days ago) We have tried the nice, sit down and let`s calmly chat about this, approach. All it gets me is empty promises. I was very understanding the first month or two, but now it just seems to be getting ridiculous.
phooey (977 days ago) This is unacceptable behavior and I don`t think you should tolerate it EVEN if you were not pregnant! Now that you`re pregnant it`s even more intolerable! He should not only be doing good house keeping without being asked to do so, but he should be going the extra mile to alleviate stress!! You're busy enough as it is with the long work schedule and school. He should be responsible for the housework entirely.
RobinG (977 days ago) I was a married single parent once and when he realized I was planning to leave and wasnt crying wolf and was making arrangements he straightend his butt out. He needs to step up or you will step out ~ seek counseling, it helped us :)
firstlittleangel (977.1 days ago) I am going to take another approach to this, I was laid off after working for the same company for 9 years...while you think that you have all the time in the world for doing household chores, you have to take into effect that it is a type of greiving process, not only does his wife (you) have to pick up the slack for the whole family, which I am sure is a huge hit to his ego, but then if you start nagging at him it`s just going to get worse. I would be honest with him, ask him how he is doing, what he needs from you and what you would like for him to do during the day if he can get to it...if you keep it open like this it won`t be nagging, it will be `suggesting` :) I wish you both luck in him finding a new job, it took me 5 months to get back into the same company, it`s a REALLY tough market out there! take it easy on him hun!! hope this helps!
nmck (977.1 days ago) Have you tried having a serious talk with him already? lay it out exactly how you feel and exactly when you need for him. Guys are NOT good at getting hints. Leave the poll up on the computer and he probably won`t even glance at it before checking the sports scores for the morning!! Then, together try writing down a list of who gets each of the agreed on chores and posting it on the fridge. Good luck!
amandad74 (977.2 days ago) LOL julz1985, I`ve gone on stike to prove a point before! A lot of men don`t actually realise how much we do daily, until we stop doing it. I recommend a strike (if you can handle the mess for a few days):)
bethk (977.2 days ago) OR.... u could just leave this poll on the computer to his eye view and let him read how u been feeling and hopefully it might click himself into gear! xx
bethk (977.2 days ago) KICK HIS ASS THE LAZYYYYYYY ASS HE IS...LOL!!!
U r working ur guts off so I would basically have a pregnancy menti fit and go bazerk - GET ALL THE TRUTHS OUT TO HIM then later on say it was a pregnancy/hormonal thing and u cant help it! Its HIS fault hehehe xxx
