HP! While I was shopping for one every sales person told me that the HP was at the top of the line right now.. but technology is always changing.. it totally depends on what you need the computer for. Ask around at the stores, like Future shop. Those guys are there to help you.

I have a Dell & its the biggest piece of junk! Its actually been broke more then its been used! I`ve had it for 3 years and 2.5 of those years its been broke! I refuse to put anymore money into it! It can sit here and rot for all I care. =P

I love my mac too. I have had a problem with the power cord and it was free to replace and any repairs needed are free too!

I have a MAC and love it, but i do a ton with media software and pics. It is kinda on the pricey side, so if you are using it for internet only they have a new laptop out there (can`t remember the name) that is only about 300 dollars and works great for basic needs.

before that i had a sony vaio and it was terrible. the speakers quit working and 2 of the keys fell off. i didnt get it fixed bc it would have cost so much i just bought a new computer. i havent had any problems with my mac
