With my first b/c he had the cord around his neck i had 15 people (16 once the baby was here) in the delivery room. That seemed like a lot. With my second, it was 6 (7 after baby). I think it is what you want and what the needs are of the baby. Good Luck.

I put two and I didn`t mean to. I read it wrong. I only had two, hubby and mom. When we have a baby again I`ll do the same thing. I loved it that way.

I only had 2 but think 3/4 would have been enough as I had 3 midwifes, 2 consultants and 2 trainees there too so one hell of a packed room

I think that you should have as many people in the room as you want. At my hospital they only allow 4. But just remember if this is your first time you dont know how you will react and you may just want peace and quiet while you are in labor.
