I think it just depends on the couple. There`s no set `right` amount of time that applies for everyone. We wanted ours to be 18 months or less apart, but that didn`t work out so now we`re shooting for 2 years...

When I have this baby my dd will be 18 months old. I wanted them no more than 2 yrs apart because I have one sis and she is 5 yrs older than me and it was like I didn`t even have a sibling until I was about 15 and then we kkkkinda started becoming friends. I want my children to go thru the same (for the most part) stages together, be there for each other and hopefully be friends. My husband has 3 sister, all very close in age and they are SUPER close. I`m hoping for that.

two years or less. All of my brothers and sisters are two years apart. We get alone fantastically and I loved being close in age!

Whenever you`re ready. I gave birth in December and we`re going to start trying for #2 in August.

Ideally, I would say 3 years. However, mine are going to be exactly one year apart. My due date is my daughter Olivia`s birthday.

I think it depends on what type of person you are. I personally wanted to wait and enjoy my first fully and then when he was more independent and going to school I started trying again. I`m glad that when our second one comes along my son will be in school full time and I`ll be able to focus all my attention on the baby during the day.

i started ttc when each of mine were about 12 months. they are 15,13,11,and 9. it is very easy for me to get pregnant, so it always happened w/in 2 months. i love how close in age they all are.

We started TTC when my son was 12 months old, and my second son was born when he was 22 months, its busy thats all I can say lol!! we want a 3rd child but will wait until this last one is 2 before we start TTC.

My closest two are 4.5 years apart and I wouldnt have it any other way!! :) It is SO much easier when one is about to go to school when the 2nd comes along :)

I`ve been asking this question as well and the general consensus from very differnt types of people say 2 years apart. That wasn`t an option.

We`re going to start trying again when our LO is 5months :) In Canada we get a yr off work (I`m off until Jan2010) and I have to go back for 4months to get that yr off again (until May2010)...so we`re trying to time it that my new Maternity Leave will begin when I done my 4months back at work. Hoping for a June-ish baby. We always wanted them close together anyway, we`re both not getting any younger and feel they`ll be really close friends being closer in age.

  1. What do you think is better (or worse) for kids? TV or video games?
  2. I`m interesed in getting an innotab for my kids. Are the extra downloads pricey? How is the product as a whole?
  3. Thought they were fixing the problem with the profiles? Mine is now starting to disappear and most of my friends profiles are gone. Is it getting fixed or what because its more than a joke at the moment. Maybe its the ads causing the problems because its the only thing that seems to stay when the profiles disappear.
  4. If you had a `favourable` cervix (started to dilate and soft) did a membrane sweep work for you?
  5. Should I buy my sister a Belly Bandit for her shower? She said that is what she wanted when I asked. I just have a hard time spending that much money on some thing she might niot like. Especially because it was me who put the dumb :) idea in her head!! I bought and used one for three out of my four and loved it...but is it for everyone? Or should I throw down the money to something more practical?
  6. Are your children exposed to two hours or less of TV per day? (This includes when your shows are on and they are awake and around at the same time in the same room)

  7. Just finished making a birthday cake for the first time from our baby girl for her daddys bday tomorrow :o)
  8. Extension of last Valentine question..I should clarify that we are having V-day dinner tomorrow alone but still just the fact that he bought our gifts at the same time at the same place bugs the s-it out of me. He knows I like plants and I`m pretty sure he went to a nice nursey and got me one but the fact is he told me he got his mom a small little plant. OMG I fee like I total b-tch but I feel like telling him I know what he probably got me and I do not want anything that you are giving your mom!! But then he wopuld know I snooped and saw where he went on our checking account.
  9. O.k I know this is a off the wall question..Is it weird and selfish of me to be annoyed that my husband has is giving his mom a Vanetine gift and card tonight when she comes over and wants to give me mine too today? I know I`m probably being sensitive and I feel bad that I made the comment `if you give me the same thing as your mom I`m gonna cry`. He said I should`nt ruin the surprise and I told him I was sorry but I just wanted our Valentines seperate because everything includes his family and it`s a day for lovers. Am I....
