yes its pronounced suleiman but its easier on the tongue in english sleiman (slayman) and thats how my father in law spells his name as well

i like karim, its pronoouncable and familiar. im egyptian, so we have that battle too of trying to pick a name that is meaningful to our culture, yet won`t give the child too much trouble being raised in america...which the answers to this poll are proof that trouble for minorities in this country does still exist! ive decided its just a fact of life, some arent as eduacted as others so they react to things in a more ignorant manner. if anything i pity them, and hope they are able to expand on their knowledge base of the world outside their lil bubble

jibrail means gabriel in arabic, for you people who dont seem to get it. thats why it was in the bracket. and yes these are middle eastern thats where my origin is from

Hey m.e.a., ignore swanie there...pretty rude comment when you are just looking for some feedback. I am pretty sure if you wanted ignorant comments, you would have added an option for that. Looks like these are perhaps middle eastern in origin so to some here on the site that think this is a site strictly for Americans, it may be difficult for them to think beyond good ole USA names. Personally I like Karim and Jibrail the best out of the options you provided.

i don`t know how to say any of them so i vote NONE. I do like the name Gabriel, but spelled that way so you know what name. Think about your child applying for a job one day and no one knowing how to say it and possibly passing over it. Or the lo being made fun of in school and teachers stumbling over the name all the time. good luck.

I sort of like Ezzadine. Sleiman reminds me of Sleemans beer and i love Gabriel but without being told I would have no idea it said that I would want to say Jib-rail
